Free flash games website for Wii launched

If you’re the proud owner of a Nintendo Wii, still haven’t broken your TV due to breaking wrist straps and like the idea of playing free flash games on you Wii, then you might be interested in this. A website that will host flash games designed for the Wii has been launched.

Of course, any Flash game can be played on the Wii using the Opera browser. But games that require more than just mouse controls may cause problems. WiiCade collects only Wii-friendly games, divides them into genres, and ranks their popularity. All of the site’s games are currently playable on your computer, and we can’t wait to give them a try with the Wiimote. You can either pay $5-$10 for 20-year old games on the Virtual Console, or play new games for free on a site like WiiCade.

As mentioned above, the website in question is WiiCade.com. This website allows users to submit their own Flash games. Since the Wiimote will act as a mouse only, all the games will be ones that only require the use of a mouse. I personally think that this is a good idea and that while the catalogue of games isn’t very big yet, we can expect that more people will start to submit their games once the Opera browser is released.
